Grasping

Grasping
This little tree is grasping, holding on to the little bit of land it has left in this creek bed. A few days of rain or a flash flood may be all it has left. Then again, in the desert you never know. I have seen trees sitting upright on two feet of exposed roots and looking at the tree above them you'd never know the difference.

After this post only two images remain in my 'maybe' file on which I have relied heavily for images the past couple of weeks. Busy at work, busy at home, the weather is uninspiring to me and now I feel I have a cold coming on; none of which is meant to be a complaint, just a statement of situation. But with the busy mood of the holidays I image a lot of us feel like the little tree, just trying to hold on.
