 Mount Olympus, Utah This is a similar view of Mount Olympus that I had at my folks house growing up in Salk Lake City, Utah. It is a beautiful mountain. I have hiked to the top on the shorter and steeper than you'd expect trail. It's a good trail but it can catch you off guard and unprepared requiring several rescues there each year. The descent on the trail was for me considerably more difficult than the climb up. Perhaps that is why days after completing the hike I dreamed of opening a weird umbrella-parachute device then running, jumping, and flying down the trail 50 or 100 feet per bound. The mountain is still dusted with the early snow we've received. Only a few of the leaves on the base of the mountain have even begun to change colors.
